Comments:
Northeastern Queensland, in coastal and montane locations from Mt Finnigan National Park to the Paluma Range, as well as Hinchinbrook Island. Usually occurs on hillsides, but also on creek banks and flats in granitic sand in woodland and rainforest. Not widely cultivated but fast and easy to grow. The flowers are produced in profusion and attract numerous birds.
