Comments: Common in the wetter parts of south-western Western Australia, in forest to heath, usually on sandy soils. Resprouts after fire from epicormic buds on the trunk and branches or from a lignotuber. One of the first species in the Jarrah forests to be killed by Phytophthora infestation.
